Buffaloes, Tigers Confirm Swap

Winnipeg and Hamilton announced today in a joint press conference that 18-year old minor league RHP Bill Gonzalez will be going to the Tigers in exchange for 29-year old RHP Tim Troy and 22-year old minor league LHP Brock Blackmore. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end.
Lifetime Troy has registered a 3-3 record with a 4.30 ERA.

Newark, Vacaville Trade Made

There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 16-year old minor league C Omar Figueroa left the Newark Eagles today en route to joining the Vacaville Steelheads organization. 32-year old RF Victor Gutierrez will be traveling to Newark Eagles to complete the swap.
In 155 games, Gutierrez is a lifetime .313 hitter. He has knocked in 75 runs, scored 83 times, hit 21 home runs, walked 59 times and has an on-base percentage of .400.

Trade: Russell for Roberson

Saskatoon and Edmonton have made a swap. Players involved in the transaction are the Moose 28-year old LF Jamie Russell and the Drillers 29-year old RHP Jayden Roberson.
In 136 career games Russell is hitting at a .261 pace with 118 hits with 21 doubles, 4 triples and 23 homers while scoring 68 runs and racking up 66 RBIs. He logged 51 walks and owns a .339 on-base percentage.
Roberson has a lifetime record of 8 wins and 13 losses and a 3.80 ERA.
