Canadians, Drillers Confirm Trade Monday, December 26th , 2022 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Canadians and Drillers have agreed to a swap. Edmonton will get 24-year old RF Vince DeFede with Sherbrooke receiving 29-year old LF Steven Hawtin in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. Hawtin has a .282 career batting average and has hit a total of 72 home runs. |
