Vancouver-Sherbrooke Announce Deal

The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Grizzlies and Canadians have consummated a trade. Sherbrooke will receive 29-year old LHP Domingo Marquez in a swap for 22-year old minor league LF Fernando Moreno and 22-year old minor league LHP Esteban Rivas. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction."
Lifetime Marquez has a 31-24 won-lost record. His career ERA is 3.75.

Alcaraz, Ruiz Swap Teams

Green Bay and Mexico City made a trade today. In this move, the Braves shipped 23-year old minor league LF Franklin Alcaraz to the Aztecas for 30-year old RHP Danny Ruiz. The Green Bay GM told reporters, "I think this trade is beneficial to everyone involved, including the players."
Ruiz has pitched in 173 games over his career, posting 57 saves and a 23-23 won-lost mark. He has registered an ERA of 4.39, logged 264.1 innings and recorded 363 strikeouts.
