Moose Post Suffers Setback, Career Over
Thursday, December 28th , 2017
At a press conference in Saskatoon, the Moose manager announced the grim news that reliever Steve Post had sustained a career-ending injury, "It can't be repaired, he's done." Post was recovering from a torn labrum and the rehab was going better than expected, when he had this setback. "It's really a big disappointment. Steve was doing so well and then this happened. All of us thought he was back. He was working out and everything was fine according to the doctors. Steve was looking great, then we got this terrible news. It really is a sad situation." Post was not available for comment.
In his career, Post has pitched 1284.1 innings over 241 games, recording 1243 strikeouts and a 4.15 ERA. His won-lost record is 78-65 with 19 saves.
