Mexico City, Allentown Confirm Deal

Newspapers in Mexico City and Allentown reported that the Aztecas have reached a deal sending 24-year old minor league RHP Elias Cancino, 24-year old minor league 2B Mike Monroe, and 20-year old minor league RF Mario Quintana to the Fleetwings for 30-year old SS Bob Rangel.
Rangel is hitting .287 lifetime with 246 hits, 50 doubles, 5 triples, 37 home runs, and 149 RBIs to date. He has scored 123 runs, walked 80 times and has a .349 OBP.

Potomacs, Buffaloes Trade Players

Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the D.C. Potomacs and the Winnipeg Buffaloes. In the deal D.C. got 30-year old LHP Bill Sturgis and 23-year old LF Shawn Holley from Winnipeg and dealt 22-year old minor league RHP Ingo Springer to the Buffaloes. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned."
