Done Deal: Brown for Maya

The Winnipeg Buffaloes have finalized a deal with the Newark Eagles for the services of 34-year old RHP Michael Maya. In exchange, the Eagles will receive 27-year old LF Matt Brown.
In his career, Maya has a record of 27 wins and 14 losses and a 3.23 ERA. He has struck out 258 in 398 innings.

Gonzalez and McNary Traded

Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Canadians announced today the acquisition of 30-year old C Bruce McNary from the Calgary Caracals in exchange for 24-year old minor league RHP Rick Burns and 22-year old minor league LHP Juan Gonzalez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Canadians, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
McNary's career batting average stands at .204, and he has 60 home runs.
