El Paso Downs Denver as Brown Tosses 2-0 Shutout Saturday, October 4th , 2025 In a remarkable performance, El Paso Diablos starter Mark Brown beat the Denver Cutthroats, 2-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Diablos hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Denver manager Tyler Montgomery said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
