Lions Ink $770,000 Annual Deal with Martinez

St. Louis's signing of Eddie Martinez was met with mixed reactions today as the 30-year-old second baseman was introduced to the media. Some experts consider him overpaid at $770,000 a year for 5 years, while others insist that Martinez is a perfect fit for the Lions.
For his 469-game career Martinez has hit .264 with 439 hits, 223 RBIs, and 50 home runs.
