New York, Green Bay Make Deal

It took some time to iron out the details, but the Knights and Braves have agreed to a swap. Green Bay will get 24-year old minor league RF Van Hagans and 23-year old minor league LHP Hwi-dong Kim with New York receiving 29-year old minor league RHP Mattia Gradillas in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal.
Since he came into the league, Gradillas has 44 saves with a 22-14 record and a 3.14 ERA.

Allentown Trades Duran for Sherbrooke's Gomez

The Fleetwings and Canadians have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with 19-year old minor league 3B Rey Duran, 22-year old minor league C Pashenka Alksnis, and 23-year old minor league RHP Takahiro Umeda going to Sherbrooke in exchange for 29-year old minor league RHP Mario Gomez.
Gomez has put up a 3.81 ERA in his career and fanned 221 hitters. His record stands at 18-17 with 25 saves.

Detroit, Albany Confirm Deal

It is being reported in Albany that the Senators and the Detroit Chargers have agreed on a trade. According to anonymous sources 33-year old RHP Jose Sierra will be dealt to the Chargers in return for 21-year old minor league RHP Jose Gonzales, 24-year old RHP Ramon Bocanegra, and 24-year old minor league RF Martin Beckett.
Lifetime Sierra has chalked up 27 wins and 28 losses and compiled a 3.51 ERA.
