Off-Field Accident Injures Alex Cervantes

Washington right fielder Alex Cervantes called in hurt today. He told Warriors officials that he had suffered an undisclosed injury while doing work on his farm. After being examined by his physician Cervantes said it looked like he would probably miss about 7 months.

Toronto-San Francisco Trade Confirmed

Acknowledging that it may not be the biggest splash, the Titans announced today that they have acquired 24-year old minor league C Paolo van Bragt from the San Francisco Peanuts in exchange for 18-year old minor league RHP Rick Hynes. "Every little bit helps," announced the Titans, "this deal should improve both squads."
