Mollet Torches Union for 5 Hits Monday, May 24th , 2027 Atlanta (R) Pilots shortstop David Mollet had a day to remember at PBC Rookie Development Complex, ripping apart the Chicago (R) Union and sparking the 12-4 Pilots win. Mollet wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Mollet told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
