Mollet Torches Union for 5 Hits
Atlanta (R) Pilots shortstop David Mollet had a day to remember at PBC Rookie Development Complex, ripping apart the Chicago (R) Union and sparking the 12-4 Pilots win.

Mollet wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Mollet told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

David Mollet singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

So far this season, Mollet is hitting .307 with no home runs.
