Morrissey Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, July 28th , 2026 It was a high-five day for Ken Morrissey, at least for a while. The Allentown shortstop got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Newark Eagles, but they were in short supply at the end, as Newark won the game, 12-8. Morrissey finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Fleetwings couldn't hold off the Eagles. "Ken was hitting everything," said Fleetwings manager Adam Torgerson. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Ken Morrissey doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, hit a two-run double in the 9th and singled in the 11th. A look at his current stats shows Morrissey with a .279 average, 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has played in 83 games. View Boxscore |
