Chargers Win SPBC Classic Series Tuesday, October 20th , 2026 This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Detroit Chargers were shedding tears of joy and the Vacaville Steelheads those of sorrow. The Chargers topped the Steelheads today 3-1 at Ballpark of Vacaville and locked up their 1st Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit SPBC Classic Series championship, winning the series 4-2. "To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Vacaville manager John Therkelsen. The Chargers finished the regular season in the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit with a 82-80 record, ending up in third place in the division standings. View Boxscore |
