Mwapacha Tames Ottawa
The Ottawa Capitals were almost helpless in their 1-0 loss to the Allentown Fleetwings and hurler Zeleke Mwapacha. Mwapacha kept the Capitals confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Mwapacha," Ottawa manager Noel Dolce said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 29-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Mwapacha said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

To date this year, in 15 starts, Mwapacha has crafted a 5-4 mark with a 5.22 ERA.
