No Playoff Berth Coming for Houston Sunday, September 21st , 2025 The playoff hopes of the Houston Mavericks have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2025 postseason. "It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the Pro Circuit Cup and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Mavericks starting pitcher Yasusaburo Kunishige. Houston last appeared in the postseason in 2016. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 26-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Mavericks have made the playoffs 3 times. Houston has won the Pro Circuit Cup 3 times in their history. |
