Dan Meyer Gets Hit Number 1000 Saturday, September 13th , 2025 It took quite a few years to do it, but Dan Meyer finally did it. The Sun Sox third baseman swatted hit #1000 this afternoon at Sun Sox Stadium, but still came up short in the victory column. The St. Louis Lions came away with a 5-4 win over Miami. Meyer was 1-for-3 in the loss. In his 878-game career Meyer has tagged 1000 hits with 166 doubles, 13 triples and 125 home runs.
