The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Miami fans at Sun Sox Stadium.

The Miami Sun Sox overcame a pretty good performance by Chicago right fielder Jay Clinkscales, beating the Union, 6-4, at Sun Sox Stadium. Clinkscales belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. David Ciarlo stitched up the save, his 1st.

Sincere Armstrong took Chicago hurler Henrik Kuehnemund deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Sun Sox on top, 4-1. In all, Armstrong had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Miami manager Dylan Walls commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."

The Sun Sox go to 33-53 with the win.
