Cutthroats Jolt Aces, 3-1, with Late Rally

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Denver Cutthroats and Las Vegas Aces.
Denver Cutthroats starter Daniel Sainato pitched his team past the Las Vegas Aces, 3-1. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher J.R. Gapinski in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Troy Degenstein took the loss.
Denver used the timely hitting of Mario Sanchez to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cutthroats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Tough loss," said Las Vegas manager Casey Lyman. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
With the win, Denver has a record of 43-37. Las Vegas falls to 41-39.
