With right fielder Sincere Armstrong leading the charge, the Miami Sun Sox defeated the St. Louis Lions, 5-2, at Sun Sox Stadium. Armstrong slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mike Smith got credit for the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings. The Sun Sox go to 29-49 with the win.

Miami took a 4-1 lead on Armstrong's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Benno de Smit in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Miami to the win.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Sun Sox manager Dylan Walls. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
