The San Diego Roadrunners knocked off the Arizona Suns, 6-3, in Western Circuit action at Desert Crown Park. San Diego pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Tom Stuart had an outstanding performance. Stuart got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Roadrunners now own a record of 37-39.

San Diego used the hitting of Ryan Merrill to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Roadrunners on top, 6-2. For the game, Merrill had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Stuart. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
