Detroit Motors starter Burl Fenton was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Philadelphia Keystones, 2-1. Fenton yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-8. Luke Laurent sewed up the save, his 5th.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Huibert Zwiers? The Detroit center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Motors on top, 2-0. For the game, Zwiers had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
