Texans Earn 8-5 Home Win
|
The Dallas Texans picked up a win at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark, dropping the Los Angeles Knights, 8-5. Nick Neuser, who leads the WC in wins with 12, was the difference-maker. The winner was Neuser. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Pete Townsend. With the victory, the Texans record stands at 36-31.
Felix van Aken, who is tied for 6th in the WC in total bases with 136, helped out the Dallas cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said van Aken.
