Casey Batten, who is tied for 9th in the WC in extra base hits with 26, had a 4-RBI night to help the Denver Cutthroats down the Arizona Suns, 4-2. The win belonged to Junro Yano in relief. His record improves to 9-4. Omar Thomas took the loss for Arizona. The 4th-place Cutthroats have won 4 consecutive games.

Batten had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Omar Thomas, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Cutthroats a 4-2 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Batten.

Batten attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
