The Miami Sun Sox racked up a win at Trident Field, bumping off the Chicago Union, 6-5. Cesar Mijares, who started for Miami, pitched effectively for his team. Getting the save was Tyler Wise, his 8th. With this game in the books, Miami is 17-27, Chicago 27-17.

Miami used a clutch at-bat from Tony Ames to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sun Sox ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Miami manager Dylan Walls.
