Los Angeles got a terrific performance from pitcher Pete Townsend, but it wasn't enough to beat the Arizona Suns. Arizona won the Camelot contest, 2-1. Townsend threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Brian Miciotto earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 3-7. The 9th-place Suns are 18-25.

Arizona used a timely hit from Angelo Pacheco to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Suns ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Pacheco.
