The Chicago Union picked up a win at Trident Field, taking down the Miami Sun Sox, 9-2. Starting pitcher Jon Naugle was a big reason why. Naugle yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-6. The third-place Union now have a record of 26-15.

Jay Clinkscales, who led the EC in stolen bases with 70 in 2023, aided the Chicago cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk.

"I'm proud to wear a Chicago jersey," Clinkscales told the Chicago Gazette. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
