Los Angeles Knights starter Pete Townsend pitched well against the Vancouver Grizzlies at The Den at Grizzly Park, leading his team to a win, 4-3. The Knights improved their record to 14-25 by beating Vancouver.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Melvin Alvarez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Knights on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Pete is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Los Angeles manager Steve Finley.
