The San Diego Roadrunners topped the Denver Cutthroats, 5-4, in Western Circuit action at Tony Gywnn Park. The standout performance belonged to San Diego pitcher and Kitakyushu, Japan, native Fumiki Komatsu. The Roadrunners win now puts them at 16-22.

With a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the ninth, Jonathan Swift delivered the knockout blow when he hit a run-scoring single to win it for San Diego. In the contest, Swift was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Swift said in his postgame press conference.
