The Chicago Union tallied a win at The Hangar, throttling the Atlanta Pilots, 5-2. Starting pitcher Jason Zierer was a big reason for his team's success. Picking up the save was Jason McNeal, his 10th. The Union raised their record to 32-23.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Jamie Napieralski to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Union on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Jason was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Chicago manager Ron Chiu.
