The El Paso Diablos topped the Los Angeles Knights, 9-5, in Western Circuit action at Camelot. The standout performance belonged to El Paso pitcher and Port St. Lucie, Florida, native Jason Roether. The win went to Tetsuhiro Kawakami in relief. His record improves to 1-1. John Robles took the loss. The Diablos improved to 36-18.

El Paso used the clutch hitting of Ryan Burton to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Diablos the lead, 5-4. For the game, Burton had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Jason didn't beat around the bush," said El Paso field general Joe Peters. "He was all business."
