Bluebirds Rebuff Gothams, 4-3
|
Nashville Bluebirds starter David Lozano was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York City Gothams, 4-3. The save went to Ricky Medina, number 8 for him. The Bluebirds are now 19-27.
Raul Martinez, who is on pace for 57 RBI this season, took New York City hurler Jian-gun Fou deep in the top of the third. His 2-run home run put the Bluebirds on top, 2-0. In all, Martinez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Lozano told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
