The El Paso Diablos bested the Denver Cutthroats, 10-8, at Inferno Field. Aaron Shelby was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Ken Trombley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. The win puts El Paso at 23-9 this season.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Jung-won Im came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Denver pitcher J.R. Gapinski, he hit a 1-2 cutter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting El Paso on top, 10-8.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Im told the El Paso News.
