Dallas went toe-to-toe with Los Angeles before a winner was decided.

The Dallas Texans faced a tough opponent in Los Angeles pitcher Corey Martin, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Camelot by a final score of 4-1. Martin went 8.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Dallas reliever Bobby Myers picked up the win to move to 1-1. Quincy Brooks suffered the loss.

Sam Westaway delivered a big hit for Dallas. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Texans ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Steve Finley.

Dallas is now 10-11, Los Angeles 6-15.
