Dallas left fielder Dave Perez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Texans dropped a 6-5 decision to El Paso at Inferno Field. Perez hit 2 home runs. Ryan Matlock picked up the win in relief for El Paso, while Brandon Wilson took the loss. Ken Trombley finished the game for El Paso and earned his 1st save.

Skylar Cole was 1 for 2 with a walk for El Paso. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Brandon Wilson. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"I just try to be a dog, have good swings, good at-bats," said Cole.

The Diablos, now 2-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
