|
Houston Mavericks pitcher Yasusaburo Kunishige was in top form, leading his team past the Las Vegas Aces, 2-1. Tristan Thompson finished the game for Houston and earned his 3rd save. The Mavericks improved their record to 6-12 by beating Las Vegas.
Josh Ball, who finished 4th in the WC in triples with 4 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ball contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Houston up, 2-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Houston manager Eric Hartman.
