Late Rally by Lions Locks Up 6-4 Win
Toronto got a decent performance from pitcher Adam Bianco, but it wasn't enough to beat the St. Louis Lions. St. Louis won the The Lions Hearth contest, 6-4. Bianco threw 6.0 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. St. Louis reliever Jack Reynolds picked up the win, raising his record to 3-1. Clint Labonte was tagged with the loss. The win was the 12th in 16 games this season for the Lions. It's a terrific start for a team that appears on course for a return trip to the playoffs.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Cameron White came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Toronto pitcher Gary Ayala, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting St. Louis on top, 6-4.

"Pleased with the effort and the win," said Lions manager Leo Cruz.
