Big Day with Bat: Serna 5-for-6 Wednesday, August 2nd , 2023 5 times is the charm -- at least for Francisco Serna. The New Orleans (R) Voodoo first baseman tore up the El Paso (R) Diablos to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The offensive onslaught from Serna powered the 16-5 Voodoo win. "Serna was a tough out," El Paso (R) manager Luke Bankston said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Francisco Serna flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season, Serna has delivered 33 hits in 109 at-bats for a .303 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .387 clip and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
