Winnipeg-Hamilton Swap: Kato for Bland Monday, November 20th , 2023 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Winnipeg. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Winnipeg Buffaloes general manager shook things up by acquiring 29-year old CF Troy Bland and $1,800 in cash from the Hamilton Tigers for 22-year old minor league 1B Jaiden McGhee, 23-year old minor league LHP Akira Kato, and 23-year old LHP Brock Blackmore. "We're a better team now," Buffaloes general manager Geoff Kelley said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." Career-to-date Bland is hitting .279 with a total of 59 home runs. |
