Knights Swap MacDonald to Empires for Davenport Saturday, November 18th , 2023 BNN has learned the New York Knights have reportedly worked out a deal with the Southern California Empires. Sources close to the Knights indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year old RHP Joe Davenport will be swapped to New York with 22-year old minor league 3B George MacDonald and 24-year old minor league RHP Oscar Varela heading to Southern California. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. Up to now in his career, Davenport has compiled a 4-11 mark in 37 games with 62 strikeouts and 32 walks in 61 innings. He has been credited with 6 saves and has a 4.72 ERA. |
