Best WSPC Reliever Named Wednesday, November 1st , 2023 Dennis Garrison appears headed for a big payday. The impending free agent turned in a dominant season with the Southern California Empires in 2023 and has won the Western Semi-Pro Circuit Reliever of the Year Award. With his contract situation unclear for next season, it appears his dominant performance will have him poised to command big money. For the year, the 31-year-old native of Rancho Cucamonga, California put up a 3.14 ERA, over 126 innings of work. He made 66 relief appearances and had 24 saves, 140 strikeouts, 21 walks and a record of 11-13. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 20. Jack Scott of the Green Bay Braves finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Will Olver of the Calgary Caracals finished third.
