Clark Booms 4 HR Against Mexico City
|
An amazing display of power vaulted Nate Clark and the Vancouver Grizzlies to victory and into the record books, as the first baseman hit 4 home runs against the Mexico City Aztecas.
Clark was an unstoppable force for the Grizzlies in the 11-2 triumph at Estadio Azteca. In the postgame interview, Clark said he started to feel the pressure before his last home run.
"I could feel the anticipation from the crowd, the look in my teammates' eyes," he said. "I was already thrilled, but as I stepped in the box I said, please God, let me hit one more."
His totals on his history-making day were 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
