Miami (R)'s Velasquez Will Miss Season Tuesday, September 27th , 2022 When Javy Velasquez was hurt against the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder, the Miami (R) Sun Sox were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 19-year-old catcher suffered a ruptured achilles tendon running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Velasquez would miss 4-5 months of the season. Currently Velasquez is batting .377 with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
