Southern California Wins Play-in Series Thursday, September 29th , 2022 The sweet swing of Taisto Rovanperä has led his team through the Play-in Series. The Southern California Empires star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Saskatoon Moose to advance to the Circuit Championship Series. The Empires won the final game at Empires Stadium by a score of 4-0 and the series 2-1. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Rovanperä. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Rovanperä hit .455 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
