D.C. Wins Play-in Series Wednesday, September 28th , 2022 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit Play-in Series. It turned out quite a bit different. The D.C. Potomacs swept aside the New York Knights to advance to the Circuit Championship Series, winning the final game by a 8-2 score at Ballpark of the Potomac. The series MVP was first baseman Don Belling, who hit .556 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
