Knights Starter Named August's Premier Pitcher Thursday, September 1st , 2022 In August when the New York manager wrote the name "Pedro" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Andres Pedro took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 5-0 mark and 2.21 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Knights star pitched 36.2 innings, fanned 38 and held opposing teams to a .180 average. For his outstanding mound performance Pedro was named the ESPC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. Checking out his stats for the year, Pedro has racked up 13 wins and 9 losses in 28 starts, posted a 3.13 ERA, and struck out 180 batters in 184 innings. |
