Haney Best WSPC Rookie in 2022 Thursday, November 3rd , 2022 All the votes have been tabulated and the recipient of the prestigious Western Semi-Pro Circuit Rookie of the Year Award is Walt Haney of Vancouver. This gifted first-year performer won the honors by batting .294 with a .369 OBP. In 133 games this year, the left fielder laced 146 hits in 496 at-bats, hit 18 home runs, drove in 73 runs and scored 66 times. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Chris Fuchser of the Vacaville Steelheads finished second in voting, while Jose Garza of the Vancouver Grizzlies finished third.
