King Grabs WSPC Reliever of the Year Award Tuesday, November 1st , 2022 Jonathan King has won the 2022 Western Semi-Pro Circuit Reliever of the Year Award, which at age 37 is a "milestone achievement" for the Vacaville Steelheads reliever. "I feel accomplished to win this when there are other younger, stronger, harder-throwing guys out there," he said. The Huntington Beach, California native's numbers speak for themselves, as he captured the award with 17 saves in 52 relief appearances, compiling 99 innings. He had 81 strikeouts and 26 walks, a record of 8-5 and an ERA of 2.18. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ruben Banegas of the Edmonton Drillers finished second in voting, while Jack Scott of the Las Vegas Rollers finished third.
