Fuchser Tags Drillers for 5 Hits
Vacaville shortstop Chris Fuchser had a big day at Ballpark of Vacaville against the Edmonton Drillers. The 28-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 14-4 Steelheads triumph over Edmonton.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Fuchser said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Chris Fuchser hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Victor Gonzalez in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

So far this season, Fuchser is batting .243 with 7 home runs.
