It was a sensational day at the plate for B.J. Reed as he led the charge to a nifty 11-2 win over the Tigers. The Allentown second baseman was pure misery for the Hamilton pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Reed put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Pat McDowell, manager for the Tigers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

B.J. Reed singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in a run in the 8th.

So far this year, Reed is batting .277 with 15 home runs and 44 RBIs.
